We have another set of scans out of the way. Last Monday we went up to Huntsman to get the results. The last scans indicated that the chemo John had started in March wasn't effective at all and that metastases has worsened in his spine. This time, 2 months later, the new scans showed that there was no new growth or progression of disease- definitely good news and a step in the right direction! We will continue on the current treatment schedule (1 week of chemo, 2 weeks of recovery) for another couple of months and check again with another set of scans later in August and go from there.
John just finished another week of chemo on Friday- he doesn't get too sick or nauseous from the drugs, just completely exhausted and drained. Thankfully he recovers pretty quickly and we are blessed and grateful to be able to go do some fun things.
